Reaching for the Sun

Long ago, when the sky was glittering with stars, lived a herd of the Cachoo Indians. The Cachoo Indians lived peacefully, reaching out to each other when in need. What the Indians did not know, was the deathly disease that was about to approach. One by one caught the Nermo, a disease that makes one shiver until ones last breath. Unfortunately, no cure was to be found and the fear of the Indians grew rapidly.
Macomo, the chief of the Cachoo Indians, had soon caught the fatal disease, making the Indians more scared than ever. “There is only one cure,” exclaimed the chief, “we need to consume a piece of the sun.” It was believed that by eating the sun, the shivers of the Nermo disease would cease. Macomo’s eldeset son Macaka, was anxious as soon as he heard about the cure. Macaka looked at the beach, and at the end lied the sun, setting little by little. Willing to risk his life for his father, Macaka ran to a boat and sailed away towards the sun. Days, months, and years had passed, but Macakas return was nowhere to be seen. Some say Macaka had ate the sun himself, and others say he had failed to reach it.
